Contraception

Despite all the choices: there is no contraceptive that would suit everyone equally well. The demands, life circumstances and priorities of women, men and couples are always different.

Essentially there are hormonal and non-hormonal methods of contraception, long-term methods, barrier methods and "natural" methods, methods with more or less interventions in the female body with greater or lesser health risks.

While the whole range revolves around contraceptive methods for women, condom is the only salvation for men to actively contribute in protecting themselves.

By the way: even if one might say, "he would be careful": The "Coitus interruptus" (“watching out", “pulling back") is absolutely insecure. The sperm cells can get into the vagina even before ejaculation. Hence this is no method of contraception!

Our Info-texts can be helpful in your search for the contraceptive method best suited to you, and of course you can also seek advice from our counselling centres.
