Pro familia Berlin provides advice how to acquire social or financial support during pregnancy or parental leave.
We inform you about legal entitlements and important steps around child birth.
The goal of social counseling is to get an overview over the following topics:
- Maternity protection / maternity benefit
- Parental leave / parental benefit (You can also use the following calculator by the Federal Ministry to get an estimate (German only))
- Unemployment benefit II (Hartz IV) in conjunction with pregnancy / parental leave
- Basic baby equipment
- Charity "Help for the Family " (The foundations homepage has also other information centers that may be near your location (German only))
- Alimony advance
- Various forms of delivery
- Child care
The counseling is conducted confidential. The consultancy fee is 12€ / 6€ reduced.
Please understand that social counseling cannot be conducted during open consultation hours due to its length. Please make an appointment via phone.
