The pro familia counselling centre Hanover has been committed to the topics of partnership, sexuality and family planning for over 55 years.

Our team consists of social workers, social pedagogues with various additional qualifications and a member of the administration.

Our counselling services are available to people of all sexes, ages and sexual orientations, in one-to-one or couple counselling. We are also available for further training and information events.

On request, you can receive anonymous advice. Our team is subject to confidentiality.

Sexuality and ageing*

Pleasurable sexuality - together or alone - is important for many people and is independent of age. We can advise you on sexual and partnership issues and conflicts.

Sexuality and limitations*

We offer people with physical and/or mental disabilities and their relatives counselling on all aspects of self-determined sexuality. We are available for training courses for employees of institutions for people with disabilities.

Legal advice on separation and divorce*

We offer initial legal counselling by specialist family law lawyers to help you find your way through a separation or divorce.

Sexuality is an important aspect of human well-being, a basic need from childhood to old age and a human right. It is a lifelong individual learning process with changing questions and needs.

We support people of all ages sensitively and expertly on the path to self-determined sexuality. We work in a culturally sensitive manner and respect the diversity of gender identities and sexual orientations. By also considering problematic aspects of sexuality and relationships, our work contributes to the prevention of unwanted pregnancies, infections and sexualised violence.

We can lend you one of our contraceptive kits for your sex education event. The cases contain the most common contraceptives, an information folder and silk scarves with drawings of the sexual organs.

You can also borrow various plush models of sexual organs from the Paomi company for educational and illustrative purposes.
