Pregnant women with a low household income can apply for financial support from the "Federal Foundation Mother and Child" from the 16th week of pregnancy. If your current gross household income is below a certain income limit, you can apply for money for maternity clothes, initial baby equipment and baby furniture.

You can submit the application together with us if you can prove that you are pregnant, you live in Lower Saxony and your gross household income does not exceed the following income limit:

  • Single parents: 2533.50 €

Every person with statutory health insurance receives an electronic patient record (ePA) unless they have opted out.

If you have an abortion, you can decide whether this information is stored in your ePA. The doctors performing the abortion must inform you of your right to object.

If you do not wish to have this information stored in your ePA, a verbal notification during the consultation is sufficient. Please speak to the doctor if necessary. The abortion will then be documented exclusively in the practice file.

If the abortion is stored in your ePA, it will remain visible even years later, for example, when scanning your health insurance card. The ePA data is not automatically deleted after ten years. However, insured persons can also access their ePA and manage the data independently, for example, via their health insurance company's ePA app. This allows them to restrict access to the data in terms of time and content.
